The
Hospice Outreach Program has temporarily replaced the residential hospice
concept, purely because of cost. The outreach service caters to patients
in their own homes, and through a team of medical and welfare professionals
assesses the patient's need, provides aides to assist with shopping and
light household duties, recruits nurses to administer a professional service,
round-the-clock if necessary. The outreach provides equipment for loan or
rental, lymphatic pumps, wheelchairs, bedpans, dripstands etc. |
