Visits to schools, businesses and industries, with lectures, competitions, seminars and open days. Health fairs and Exhibitions are mounted to include other organisations or support a community activity. Special requests by church groups, women's organisations and PTA's receive a positive response. Videotapes, models, posters and a wide selection of appropriate literature are available. TV advisories on breast, cervix and prostate cancer are aired, and newspaper supplements and articles are frequently published. Annually a gala public lecture is held at the Frank Collymore Hall, and professional seminars and refresher courses for medical/nursing students. There is an annual week of activities each September.
